Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

Born March 11, 1936

Antonin Scalia ws born in Trenton, New Jersey from a Sicilian immigrant father and Italian-American mother.  He received his BA from Georgetown University in 1957, and his law degree from Harvard University in 1960 and spent many years in private practice.  President Reagan nominated Scalia to the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in 1982. Four years later, Reagan nominated him to the US Supreme Court, and he took the oath of office on September, 26, 1986.  He recently was noted in the Bush-Gore election as being especially hard on both sides of lawyers.
