Roberto Benigni

Roberto Benigni was born in October 1952 was born and raised in the Tuscany region of Italy. As a teenager Benigni was a introvert, studying at the Jesuits Seminary at Florence, and even aspired to become  priest.  In the late 1970s appeared on numerous Italian television programs and in 1998 he won an Oscar Academy Award for La Vita é Bella (Life is Beautiful).  Many remember his very animated acceptance speech.
